– The first-ever international expansion of ‘Michael Jordan’s Steak House’ and ‘MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill’ will land on South Korea as part of Mohegan INSPIRE in the second half of this year

– Two original concepts such as ‘Hi-Fi Chicken & Beer’, a retro-mood chimaek bar developed with a star Korean-born chef, and ‘Brasserie 1783’, a French-inspired casual restaurant will join its unique dining line-up

[Incheon, South Korea – 13 July 2023] Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort (hereinafter referred to as ‘Mohegan INPSIRE’ or ‘INSPIRE’) collaborates with the American restaurant company Cornerstone Restaurant Group (hereinafter referred to as ‘Cornerstone’) to bring new and unique dining concepts to South Korea in the second half of 2023. This includes four concepts: the first-ever international locations of ‘Michael Jordan’s Steak House’ and ‘MJ23 Sports & Grill,’ which have been wildly successful in the United States in partnership with the legendary basketball player MJ, as well as two brand-new concepts – ‘Hi-Fi Chicken & Beer,’ and ‘Brasserie 1783.’  

INSPIRE’s parent company, Mohegan, and Cornerstone have made successful partnership for more than 20 years, and the extended collaboration to Mohegan INSPIRE, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2023, will once again exceed expectation of food lovers around the world along with innovative dining concepts.

The new Michael Jordan’s Steak House, which is the premier destination for steak lovers from the United States and around the world, will bring the same high-quality dining experience to South Korea. The menu features the highest quality steaks available, perfectly prepared to the guest’s specifications. Focusing on the finest seasonal ingredients and pure bold flavors, the restaurant will elevate the classic steak experience to the “Michael Jordan” level. The new location at INSPIRE, designed by the renowned Korean interior design firm Kesson, will take the gastronomic experience to new heights with exquisite interiors and exclusive private dining opportunities.

MJ23 is an elevated sports bar and grill serving up contemporary American cuisine, with a sport viewing experience that Michael Jordan himself can be proud of. The menu features flat-top burgers, chicken wings, and a wide assortment of draft beers. Michael Jordan iconography and his most famous quotes fill the space along with the latest in TV technology. MJ23 Sports Bar &Grill pays homage to MJ and his first love, the love of the game.

Joining Michael Jordan-brand restaurants at INSPIRE will be a new concept developed with Cornerstone partner and highly acclaimed Korean-born chef Bill Kim.  Hi-Fi Chicken & Beer is a casual diner where guests can enjoy Korean-style ‘Chimaek’ in a fun, laid-back retro atmosphere filled with classic stereo equipment and vinyl albums. The menu features Korean-style fried chicken paired with ice cold beer as well as western style chicken, an array of salads, side, and noodle dishes. With such mix in the menu, Chef Bill Kim whose family moved from South Korea to the United States when he was 7 years old stands out for his creative takes on Korean comfort foods.

Another new concepts to launch at INSPIRE is named Brasserie 1783, which is a French-inspired all-day brasserie featuring a signature hot air balloon-shaped bar, a raw bar, a stylish patisserie and coffee bar and a large outdoor patio. The first hot air balloon flight was in 1783 and the restaurant will honor the spirit of adventure as it serves travelers from around the world.

Mohegan INSPIRE, situated in the IBC area of Incheon International Airport, is set to open the 1A phase in the fourth quarter of 2023, reaching almost 83 percent in completion of the construction. The 1A phase includes: three 5-star hotel towers with 1,275 rooms, Korea’s first multi-purpose arena with 15,000 seats, state-of-the-art convention facility including Korea’s largest hotel banquet room, commercial facilities combining shopping, dining and entertainment, a year-round indoor water dome, and an outdoor family park.  INSPIRE will establish itself as a true integrated entertainment resort that brings together a variety of premier facilities, the best customer services, and entertainment options to one place.
